Moto Tag

With a Pixel 10 Pro, the Moto Tag struggles terribly to find the tag, 99% of the time it refuses to connect to the tag, making the Moto Tag almost useless for reading the battery level, using the Camera picture taking feature, update firmware, etc. It's really frustrating this doesn't work most of the time! The Find Hub app is much better at locating it but even then often times the Find Hub app says I'm "out of range" even when I'm close!

Now that they have UWB support and fixed the battery reporting issues I can finally recommend these. I'm pretty annoyed that nearly 2 weeks into the UWB update I still had to side load the app because it wasn't rolled out to me. Only been waiting for this since last August. But, as far as the trackers go they do what they say they do. That, with the robust accessory market make them desirable.

So a few things on this. The app isn't terrible. It's used to update the tags and can also use it for the basic find my device features. That being said, it would be nice not to have an extra app since these are supposed to function as Find My Device hardware. Also, having to wait for gated app rollouts to be able to update your tags with the latest features, just doesn't feel good. The UWB update has been touted, but you cannot get it unless you have the latest app version. Allow opt in.
